Cliptx is designed to give you full creative control while protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user. By using Cliptx, you agree to this policy.
We collect the following types of information: • Account Information: Your name, email address, and profile photo when you register or sign in via Email, Google, Facebook, or Apple. • Usage Data: App interactions, feature usage, and crash reports to improve performance and user experience. • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for analytics and support purposes. • Push Notification Token: An FCM token used solely to deliver in-app notifications to your device.
Your videos, photos, and edited content are processed locally on your device. Cliptx does not upload, access, or share your media files with our servers unless you explicitly choose to publish content to the Cliptx community feed. Published content is stored securely using Cloudinary under your account and can be deleted by you at any time.
We use collected information to: • Provide and maintain core app features including video editing, photo editing, and account management. • Process and manage your Premium subscription via RevenueCat. • Send push notifications about activity relevant to your account. • Respond to support requests submitted through the in-app support feature. • Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features. • Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent misuse.
Cliptx uses the following trusted third-party services that may collect and process data under their own privacy policies: • Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, cloud functions, and push notifications. • Google Sign-In: OAuth-based login. • Facebook Login: OAuth-based login via Facebook. • Sign in with Apple: OAuth-based login via Apple ID. • RevenueCat: Subscription management and purchase verification. • Cloudinary: Cloud storage for user-published media content. We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising or behavioural tracking.
Cliptx requests the following device permissions: • Camera: To record videos directly inside the app. • Microphone: To capture audio when recording video. • Photo Library (Read): To import videos and photos for editing. • Photo Library (Write): To save your edited videos and photos to your device. • Documents Folder: To store temporary video and photo project files. • Push Notifications: To send you activity updates and alerts. All permissions are optional where possible. Denying a permission will only disable the related feature.
Your data is stored on secure servers protected by industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS). Account credentials are managed by Firebase Authentication and are never stored in plain text. Local editing files are stored only on your device and are not transmitted to our servers. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated personal data, published posts, and media files are permanently deleted from our servers within a reasonable timeframe. You may request account deletion at any time from Settings > Delete my account inside the app.
Cliptx is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
You have the right to: • Access the personal information we hold about you. • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information. • Request deletion of your account and associated data. • Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the revised date will be updated within the app. Continued use of Cliptx after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
